All things considered, Garcia proved to be a force in the opening week of Season Four of Athletes Unlimited Softball. To begin, it was the strength of her right hand leading the way for Shannon Rhodes’ team.

Garcia allowed three hits and struck out five in five innings in the circle. Sydney Littlejohn-Watkins picked the save in a perfect two innings.

In addition, Garcia accounted for half the runs for Team Rhodes with a solo home run and an RBI double. The lone run Garcia allowed came from a solo shot by Megan Wiggins in the top of the second inning for Dejah Mulipola’s squad.

Sydney Romero’s RBI single and Rhodes’ sacrifice fly RBI were the other runs for Team Rhodes. What’s more, Taylor Edwards connected on hits in two of three appearances at the plate. Also, both teams left a combined 12 runners on base.
