It was Denham’s seventh win in this Athletes Unlimited Softball season, but she was still 14 points shy of overtaking Alexander.

Firstly, Team Denham got four runs in the top of the second inning. Aubrey Leach led off the scoring with an RBI double as Amanda Lorenz followed up with another double, bringing in two runs. Haylie McCleney capped off the inning with an RBI double.

The final runs for Team Denham came off the bat of Sydney Romero with a two-run triple in the fourth. Hannah Flippen and her team’s lone run came from an RBI by Tori Vidales in the bottom of inning number six.

Nonetheless, her 1,994 total points gave her the crown. The offense for Team Alexander came via Andrea Filler and her solo homer in the bottom of the third.

As for Danielle Gibson, she made a strong run for the crown but finished in third place on the leaderboard. Additionally, Rachel Garcia finished in fourth place. Gibson’s team scored in the top of the sixth with a home run by Megan Wiggins and an RBI by Nadia Taylor.
