Cheyenne Parker

The 6’4 Forward of the Chicago Sky is a UFA. And i am sure many teams are interested in her and are in talks with her and her agent. I personally don’t blame them. Last season the veteran averaged 13.4 points per game, her best year yet in the league. Parker was a crucial part of the Sky roster and helped her team during the playoffs. Parker averaged 6.4 total rebounds last season. Her shooting percentage improved in the bubble with 55 % from the field. Her overall statistics improved in the bubble and that makes her a vital player in any team. But most importantly a great addition to Chicago for many years to come.

All the above is the reason why i believe the Sky should re-sign Parker; whether is a long-term contract or a one-year contract. In addition to having in mind the Chicago Sky salary cap room of $258, 285 according to Her Hoop Stats; it all depends on whether they re-sign Cheyenne Parker or Sydney Colson. Parker has the ability to attack the post, shoot a mid-range jumper, and hustle for rebounds. The Sky have the advantage of re-signing her and relying on Parker to deliver on both sides of the court.

Nov’s WNBA Free Agency Predictions

Candace Parker

After 13 years in LA, I think Candace Parker will leave the Los Angeles Sparks in Free Agency. During the post-game interview after LA’s loss to Connecticut; Parker said she wanted to stay in LA but at some point, they will have to get better. With cap space issues plaguing Los Angeles; I don’t think they can make the improvements that will put the above championship contenders like Seattle, Washington, and Connecticut.

I believe Parker will end up in her hometown of Chicago in maybe a sign-and-trade type deal involving someone like Stefanie Dolson.

Candace Parker in Chicago alongside Cheyenne Parker, Diamond DeShields, Allie Quigley, and Courtney Vandersloot takes Chicago from championship hopeful to championship favorites in one free agency move.

LaMarr’s Free Agency Predictions

Kayla McBride

After three seasons with the Las Vegas Aces, it is time for Kayla to move on. Last year in the bubble, McBride dealt with some mental health issues. But managed to average 12.5 points per game and shot 34% from three. The previous season she shot 42% from beyond the arc.

The Minnesota Lynx will be an excellent fit for McBride; she would stretch the floor for Sylvia Fowles and Napheesa Collier. Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve would utilize McBride’s full skill set, and she will thrive in Minnesota.

Aislyn’s Free Agency Predictions

Why Kayla McBride should stay with the Aces

Kayla McBride was drafted by the San Antonio Stars in 2014. And has been apart of this franchise ever since, even with a move from San Antonio to Las Vegas. Even in what was believed to be her “off-season”, McBride was still a huge key for the Aces’ success. During the 2020 season, she averaged 12.5 PPG, 2.4 APG, 2.3 RPG, and 1.2 STL. McBride should stay with the Aces as she is a huge leader on this team and has been apart of this team for so long. The Aces also need a good shooter on their team and McBride is that for them. Her versatility will be valued once again if she stays in Vegas.

Why Allisha Gray should Leave Dallas

Allisha Gray was drafted by the Dallas Wings in 2017 and won the Rookie of the Year. Since then she has been an impact on the Wings, however, I think Gray should leave Dallas. I believe Gray should take an opportunity elsewhere for a potentially greater role starting or more playing time than Dallas. I think a team that needs a skilled guard would be able to utilize her greatly. Gray has only been to the WNBA playoffs once during her rookie year; I think she is a great player especially when it comes to playoffs; if you look at her time during her college days. No matter where she goes I think her role is key for any team.
