The WNBA announced on Thursday, October 8, that the Most Valuable Player award went to the incredible three-time WNBA champion and Las Vegas Aces center, A’ja Wilson. Wilson made Herstory, becoming the first WNBA player to win five MVP awards and three back-to-back-to-back (2024, 2025, and 2026). The WNBA, the players, former players, and fans were in tears, congratulating her on another historic moment in her career. What a heartwarming moment for the basketball community. Not only a joyous moment for her teammates and coaches, but for the entire basketball world.
From NBA players to former Vice President Kamala Harris, they made it clear what a groundbreaking moment Wilson has just created. What a special moment she had with her coaching staff and teammates when it was announced and the M’VP trophy was handed to Wilson. It spread like wildfire across social media. The way the Aces organization presented Wilson with all five trophies was unique and emotional. The first to come out was Mark Davis, the owner of the Aces. Next was head coach Becky Hammon, followed by Chelsea Gray, known as the Point Gawd. After her came Jackie Young, and last but not least, her lovely mother, Eva Wilson.
Along with the MVP trophy, they provided her with a stunning crown.

The celebration continued after her press conference, with numerous voice messages from her close-knit circle, former WNBA players, and her high school coach. What a touching moment not only for Wilson, but for the fans. Tears of joy streamed down her face as she listened to all the messages. Everyone praised her not only for her incredible natural talent but also for the way she treats every person she encounters daily. The common denominator is who she is as a human being and how she inspires others.
