Athletes Unlimited Basketball Took a Successful Trip Downtown 

Without question, Athletes Unlimited Basketball is coming out hot as we saw points all over the place. Day Two gave fans a healthy mix of offensive and defensive performances as we saw some records fall. That being said, let us dive into Games Three and Four of Season Two.


Game Three: Team Sims was simmering in their win over Team Cole

In this case, Team Sims, led by Connecticut Sun guard Odyssey Sims, decided to light up the scoreboard in Texas. Sims’ squad shot a phenomenal 61% from the field and 56.7% from three-point range. In all, they scored an Athletes Unlimited Basketball record of 120 points, including 38 points in a quarter. Five players scored in double-digits, led by Indiana Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell with 28 points.


Going back to Team Sims’ effort from three-point land, their 15 made shots are a single-game record. Mitchell and Fever teammate Lexie Hull each drained six from beyond the arc in the win. Not to be outdone, Team Cole, led by guard Taj Cole, put up 95 points in the losing effort. Team Cole was led by Atlanta Dream guard Allisha Gray, who scored 23 points.

In addition, Los Angeles Sparks guard Lexie Brown hit six threes for Team Cole and had 18 points. Guard Crystal Bradford had another double-double with 17 points and 10 boards for Cole’s squad. It’s important to note that both teams combined for 28 scored three-pointers. Aspiration is committed to planting 10 trees for every three-pointer made throughout the Athletes Unlimited Basketball season.


Game Four: Team Williams pulls out a nail-biter over Team Cloud

Chicago Sky guard Courtney Williams led her team to a 75 – 67 victory over Team Cloud, led by Washington Mystics guard Natasha Cloud. Naz Hillmon led the way for Williams’ squad with 16 points. Sky forward Isabelle Harrison (14 points) and guard Air Hearn (12) scored in double-figures.

Also, Mystics guard Evina Westbrook added nine points and four assists in the game. Cloud led her team in scoring with 18 points while Sparks guard Jordin Canada put up 17 points and six assists for Team Cloud.
