Athletes Unlimited Basketball keeps up the stellar performances

So far, Athletes Unlimited Basketball has given fans and viewers some great hardwood efforts. Games Three and Four were a treat as the offense was cooking. Also, there was a down-to-the-wire finish game in the Lone Star State to close out the doubleheader. That being said, here is a recap of both games.

Game Three: Team Gray hit triple-digits to stay perfect over Team Mitchell

The dynamic guard duo of team captain Allisha Gray and Tiffany Mitchell put on a masterclass with 59 points, 11 assists, and eight boards. Gray’s squad held a 30 – 8 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. They led for almost 38 minutes of this contest. Additionally, they hit 14 shots from downtown as the duo combined to drain nine of them.

Mitchell and Gray took home MVP 1 and MVP 2 honors, respectively with Natasha Cloud completing the trifecta with MVP 3 honors. Cloud scored 15 points with eight dimes and six rebounds.

Air Hearn added 20 points and eight rebounds in the loss as Maddy Siegrist put up 16 points and seven rebounds. Kelsey Mitchell made history, becoming the fourth player in Athletes Unlimited Basketball history to reach 10,000 career leaderboard points. She accumulated 167 points in the loss with her 12 points and seven assists.

Game Four: Team Hull and Team Sims shined in Athletes Unlimited Basketball action

This game was as close as the first rollover quarter of the 2024 Athletes Unlimited season came in quarter number three with a 24-24 tie. In this end, Odyssey Sims and her squad got the 92- 88 victory. Lexie Hull did everything possible for her team with 24 points and seven boards, earning MVP 1 of the game. Three other starters had double figures for Team Hull.

Kierstan Bell led Team Sims with 23 points on 9 of 12 shooting from the field. Bell got MVP 2 honors as teammate Te’a Cooper earned MVP honors with 12 points off the bench. It is important to note that Sims’ squad won their first two games by a combined seven points. Bell got her sixth career 20-point game in Athletes Unlimited Basketball.

Forwards Theresa Plaisance and Ruthy Hebard each had a double-double for Hull’s team in this loss. Plaisance grabbed 10 boards with her 14 points while Hebard notched 11 points and 10 boards of her own.
