A Competitive Doubleheader in Athletes Unlimited Basketball

As it’s been noted, the points in Athletes Unlimited Basketball come fast and in bunches. Games Nine and Ten were no exception as all four teams reached 90+ points. The leaderboard is taking shape as the season gets closer to the midway point. Without question, a case can be made for several players to take home the crown in Season Three. That being said, here is a recap of Games Nine and Ten in AU Basketball.

All things considered, every Odyssey Sims-led team loves to make it close as all five of their matchups this season have been decided by four points or less. This matchup saw guards Kierstan Bell and Zia Cooke take care of the scoring. Bell notched 29 points in the 99-95 victory for Team Sims while winning MVP 3 honors.

The MVP 1 went to Cooke as she scored 22 points with seven boards, getting 513 points on the leaderboard. Sims had 18 points, eight assists, and six rebounds while Laeticia Amihere led the squad with 11 caroms and reached a double-double with 16 points. It is important to note Sims has scored 10+ points in 19 of her last 20 games in AU Basketball.

Tiffany Mitchell and Maddy Siegrist each had 24 points in the loss. Micthell took home the MVP 2 honors as she also had nine dimes. Siegrist hit 58 percent of her shots from the field while getting seven rebounds. Additionally, Teana Muldrow got her first double-double in her Athletes Unlimited Basketball career with 13 points and 13 boards. Mitchell’s squad had 10 blocks in the game as Siegrist and Muldrow accounted for seven of them with three and four, respectively.

It came down to the three-point line for Team Cloud, who drained 47.8 percent as Team Gray went 32.3 percent from beyond the arc. Lexie Brown garnered MVP 1 honors as the guard led the way with 27 points, eight boards, and six dimes.

She hit six of Team Cloud’s 11 made three-pointers in the 93-90 victory, tying the all-time mark in league history. This matchup saw Adut Bulgak get her first double-double of her Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball career with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Cloud added 17 points as well as eight assists and five caroms as she won MVP 2 honors. Also, Lexie Hull completed the sweep with MVP 3 honors with 17 points and seven boards.
