The Dallas Wings Beat the New York Liberty 93 to 80

Wings beat the Liberty

Last night was another tough loss for the New York Liberty. The Liberty spent the whole night trying to catch up. The Dallas Wings beat the New York Liberty 93 to 80. The Wings outscored the Liberty in three of the four quarters and started exposing the Liberty’s weaknesses.

The Dallas Wings 

The Dallas Wings came out to play last night. The Wings played an upbeat tempo offense and solid defense. They dominated all four quarters and had the Liberty playing catchup all game. The leading ladies for the Wings are the following; Arike Ogunbowale, Astou Ndour, and Moriah Jefferson. Arike Ogunbowale led the Wings in points. Ogunbowale played for 30 minutes and within those 30 minutes, she scored 20 points. Astou Ndour led the Wings in rebounds. Ndour came off the bench and played for 18 minutes. Within those 18 minutes, she had six rebounds. Moriah Jefferson led the Wings in assist. Jefferson played for 26 minutes and she had four assists.

The New York Liberty 

The New York Liberty is having a rough start this season. They have been struggling on defense and they need to improve in that area. Currently, the Liberty has been struggling following through with their shots and defense. The leading ladies for the Liberty are the following; Sabrina Ionescu and Amanda Zahui B. Sabrina Ionescu was on fire last night. She led the Liberty in points and assists. Sabrina played for 34 minutes and within those 34 minutes, she scored 33 points, had seven rebounds, and seven assists. Amanda Zahui B. led the Liberty in rebounds. Zahui played for 25 minutes and had 11 rebounds.

The Dallas Wings beat the New York Liberty 93 to 80.

After the Liberty loss to the Wings, New York needs to work on its weaknesses or they will continue to lose. They can not put all their hopes on Sabrina. As they prepare to face the Atlanta Dream tomorrow at 7 pm EST, they must improve on defense. The 2-0 Wings need to continue to keep up that great work. The Wings will be back in action tomorrow at 8 pm EST, taking on the Indiana Fever.
