The Wings beat the Liberty

Another rough day for the New York Liberty. This past Monday was the last day of the WNBA regular season. After being beat by the Wings, both the Wings and the Liberty are officially out of the WNBA Bubble. This has been a tough season for both the Liberty and the Wings. Both teams have a lot of work to do. The Dallas Wings beat the New York Liberty 82 to 79.

New York Liberty

The New York Liberty have been fighting all season, but it has been a tough fight. The New York Liberty leading ladies are the following; Jazmine Jones, Amanda Zahui B., and Kia Nurse. Jazmine Jones led the Liberty in points. Jones played for 31 minutes and within those 31 minutes, she scored 20 points. Amanda Zahui B. led her team in rebounds. Zahui B. played for 34 minutes, and within that time, she had 10 rebounds. Kia Nurse led her team in assists. Nurse played for 34 minutes. Within those 34 minutes, she had seven assists.

Dallas Wings

The Dallas Wings had some trouble during this game. The Wings just beat the Liberty. The leading ladies for the Dallas Wings are the following; Arike Ogunbowale, Kayla Thornton, Tyasha Harris. Arike Ogunbowale led the Wings in points. Ogunbowale played for 35 minutes and within those 35 minutes, she scored 26 points. Kayla Thornton led her team with rebounds. Thornton played for 25 minutes and within those 25 minutes, she had 10 rebounds. Tyasha Harris led her team in assists. Harris played for 30 minutes. Within those 30 minutes, she had five assists.

The Wings beat the Liberty to end both of their 2020 seasons. The WNBA action will not stop here. The playoffs begin Wednesday, September 15th. The playoffs kick off with the Connecticut Sun taking on the Chicago Sky at 7 pm and the Washington Mystics taking on the Phoenix Mercury at 9 pm.
