WrestleMania: Four Great Champions Headline First

Undeniably, WrestleMania is, without doubt, my personal favorite pay-per-view WWE puts on every year. What’s more, this year’s WrestleMania is the “The Most Stupendous Two-Night Event,” meaning it’s got to be slightly above average, right?

In this two-night event, we’ll see both the Raw and SmackDown’s Women’s Championships be defended on night one. By and large, these two matches have the potential to be the most stupendous ones of the evening. That being said, let’s talk about these two contests more in-depth.

“The Man” Becky Lynch (c) vs. “The EST” Bianca Belair – Raw Women’s Championship

Certain matches just hit differently from time to time, and this is one of them. This match has had the best build outside of Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. Moreover, these two women right now have that heat that you feel through your TV on a weekly basis. To me, Becky Lynch on the microphone has been second to none and Bianca Belair as well.

When “The Man” made her return to WWE at SummerSlam in August of last year, it was an absolute game-changer. The EST was set to face Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women’s Title but was a no-show. Next, Carmella appears, only for Lynch’s music to hit and the over 51,000 fans in Allegiant Stadium roaring.

Then, Lynch coaxed Belair to put her title on the line, only for the EST to be defeated in under 30 seconds. Now, the man is a five-time Women’s Champion. For Belair to secure her spot, she won a Women’s Elimination Chamber match in Saudi Arabia.

I expect this match to be the match of the night and wouldn’t be shocked if it started the show. All in all, expect an all-time classic between these two previous WrestleMania headliners.

“The Queen” Charlotte Flair vs. “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey – SmackDown Women’s Championship

While this match may not get the same hype as Lynch/Belair, it still has a lot of juice and vitriol. Ronda Rousey returned to WWE and won this year’s, Royal Rumble, meaning she could pick a champion of her choosing to face.

Ultimately, Rousey chose Charlotte Flair to be her opponent at WrestleMania this year. Both of these ladies faced off at this event back in 2019 in a triple-threat match along with Lynch.

Fast forward three years later, both Flair and Rousey are in the main event of WrestleMania once again. By comparison, these two women are polar opposites of one another. For example, Flair is one of the most decorated champions in WWE history as a 12-time champion.

However, Rousey is a former UFC champion and an Olympic Bronze medalist and a former WWE champion. Seeing them go at it both verbally and physically in this buildup has been exciting. At AT&T Stadium, on the grandest stage of them all, Flair and Rousey will deliver.

In closing, enjoy all of these women who are former champions competing because it’ll keep you on the edge of your seat.  On this occasion, let me share my love for two of these women here:
