In the 2020 WNBA season fans got introduced to a host of rookie talent. From Chennedy Carter to Sabrina Ionescu it was clear the WNBA would be in excellent hands in the future with these talented players. But it was one newcomer whose star power stood out from the rest and that player is Te’a Cooper.

In her debut against the team that cut her the Phoenix Mercury, Cooper would score 10 points and dish out 2 assist to go along with 2 steals. As Te’a was proving herself on the court, it was her award-winning personality off that court that was capturing the hearts of fans from all over the world.
A Star is Born
Fans flocked to the rookie’s guard, Instagram, and social media pages to watch her hilarious voice-overs, dance routines. And to see what fashionable outfit she would rock to the games. Videos on the LA Sparks official Instagram containing Cooper has garnered over 10k to 25k views and over 2500 likes.
As fans learned further about Cooper; they heard more about her personal life as fans were surprised and overjoyed to learn that the rookie guard was engaged to Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard. People became obsessed with the joyous couple as they watched them live out a true Love and Basketball fairy tale.
A Star On The Rise
Te’a Cooper raising popularity has helped her grace social media’s most famous page’s like; The Shade Room, The Jasmine Brand, Hollywood Insider along with many others.
With her fame growing; the LA Sparks guard has started a YouTube Channel that allows her to connect with all of her fans. The new channel has no content yet. But it’s already influential among fans as it has already garnered over close to 2k subscribers.
Continuing to Shine in Hollywood
In her first season in the WNBA; Te’a Cooper has become one of the most famous WNBA players on social media. As she continues her career, it’s safe to say that the star that is Te’a Cooper will shine for a very long time.
