Guess Who’s Back, Back Again: Top Kicks of The Week

Top Kicks Of The Week

Oh yeah. It’s time. The W is back and of course, that means it is time for the return of my critically acclaimed, zero award-winning, only semi-popular sneaker rankings. That’s right! Top Kicks Of The Week is back!

Honorary Mention: Skylar Diggins-Smith (Phoenix Mercury) Custom Mother’s Day Court Riders

Now first things first it would be an absolute crime! A complete disgrace! If I did not include these custom Mother’s Day kicks created for Skylar Diggins-Smith by @/Kattycustoms on Instagram even though they were technically rocked in the preseason I’ve gotta show these kicks some love with this week’s honorary mention.

10. Dearica Hamby (Las Vegas Aces): Jordan 1 Retro ‘AJKO Chicago’

You can’t really go wrong with Jordan 1’s however what really makes them stand out is the colorway you choose and Hamby definitely made the right decision when she strolled into the stadium rocking these.

9. Sabrina Ionescu (New York Liberty): ‘Hall Of Fame” Kobes

This sneaker choice comes as no suprise for Ionescu but definitely grabbed attention on and off the court.

8. A’ja Wilson (Las Vegas Aces): ‘Medium Curry’ Nike Dunk Low

Madam MVP did not come to play. (Peep the bag. We love some good color cordination!)

7. Sabrina Ionescu (New York Liberty): Off White ‘Sail’ AJ 4

Oh yeah she’s back… on the court… AND our list coming in at number seven for this saucy Jordan look.

6. DiJonai Carrington (Conneticut Sun): ‘Arctic Punch’ AJ 1 Low

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again when it comes to Air Jordans it is all about the colorways and DiJonai definitely understood the assignment.

5. Charli Collier (Dallas Wings): Kobe 6 ‘Grinch’

This years number one pick comes in hot at number 5 in ‘Grinch’ Kobes.

4. Nneka Ogwumike (Los Angelos Sparks): N3XT L3V3L Futurenatural ‘Team Solar Green’

Unfortunately, there was another pair of green kicks that did just a little bit more for me and they belong to the one and only Madam President Nneka coming in at number 4.

3. Skylar Diggins-Smith (Phoenix Mercury): J. Cole X RS-Dreamer 2 ‘High Risk Red’

I originally placed these at number four just to make a really bad jersey number pun but these are truly too good to be anything less than top three.

2. Diamond DeShields (Chiacago Sky): Player Exclusive Zoom Freaks

Now before you say anything I know, I know. I said preseason kicks are usually reserved for honorary mentions, but some rules are meant to be broken and if you remember anything about my rankings from last season you’d know I have a very soft spot in my sneaker shaped heart for Zoom Freaks and when I saw these I just couldn’t help myself.

1. Dun Dun Dun….

And of course, it all comes down to this the very first player to take the number one spot this season Indiana’s finest, Tiffany Mitchell with Harden Vol 5 Solar Yellows. I mean… come on! Just look at them!

And there you have it our very first Top Kicks Of The Week for the 25th season! Are you loving this? Of course, you are! Well, guess what we’ll be doing this all season long so keep up with Top Kicks Of The Week and let me know who you think has the best sneaker game in the W @sportyspiccee.
